Bear Dance Montana is located on the eastern bank of the Flathead Lake! Bear dance got its name because a settler in 1891 was passing by through this little community on a day that they had killed a bear. It was custom for the people in the community to share all the meat between them in a celebration, which included dancing. Hence Bear Dance!
