This rag is named after the little town of Forest Grove which is located in eastern Fergus County. This tiny town got its name because of a stand of trees in the valley at the foothills of the Little Snowy Mountains. Forest Grove is home to the Bear Gulch pictographs, which is a collection of 2,000 pictographs and petroglyphs.
