This lake is located about a 40 minute drive southeast of Fort Benton. This is part of the Shonkin Sag geological formation outside of Highwood. The lake that is in the bottom of the sag , is surrounded by horseshoe shaped walls of rock that rise between 200 and 300 ft tall. These walls are known as the dry falls. This lake was formed about 15,000 years ago by a glacier.
