Stearns Montana was a small settlement that came along in 1890 with the homesteaders. Located between Wolf Creek and Augusta, it became a focal point for homesteaders in the area. By 1910, there was a school, a post office, and a community hall. This community died around 1921, and today all that is left standing is the Stearns Hall.
